An animation I visually completed alone. I wrote, storyboarded and animated the entire film myself, including the background art and lighting effects.
This project was completed almost entirely on my iPad using Procreate to animate and iMovie to edit. TVPaint was also utilised for the parallax effect seen when Joseph looks back at the concerned patrons.
The story is based on the real-life passing of Joseph Bexfield in 1809, and the cryptic entities discussed around his mysterious death.
This ten second animation was made to replicate the animation stings seen on E4. We were told to be as weird and surreal as we liked, as long as we featured E4 colours and the E4 logo.
I designed and animated the three object head characters. I gave each of them a glowing element to let their heads stand out, the fish, lava lamp wax and TV screen are all animated!
This was completed almost entirely on Procreate and edited with iMovie. After Effects was utilised to follow the campfire mushrooms as they grew!
This upcoming animated short is a collaborative project that I conceptualised and directed. I am working with students in the year below me for animating, colouring and cleaning up various scenes. With just some final editing needing to be done, we're all excited to share this piece with everyone.
I am so proud of all the students that worked with me for this piece, and I look forward to sharing the final animation with both the university and everyone online!
This is concept work for a hypothetical animated short. For this university brief I have created a collection of concept and character design work, including turnarounds, pose sheets and expression sheets.
I have also created work showcasing the surrounding architecture of these two characters. The architecture in the story is inspired by Mont Saint Michael, a beautiful location which has inspired countless visual elements in fiction.
I plan to revisit this work and make the full animated short.
A series of animated pieces and designs based on my parent's pet cat Oni. With outfits and character inspiration from "The Young Offenders".
I worked on lip sync, made a character based walk cycle, and created the keys for a full body character acting animation. There are also character turnarounds, pose sheets and studies of the real-life Oni himself!
I plan to clean up both the walk cycle and character acting keys to have them complete as two more fluid and fully coloured animations.
