This was created for a university brief. We were tasked with telling a simple story based on a fable or mythological tale in under one and a half minutes. I chose the story of Joseph Bexfield and his mysterious death in the marshlands Thurlton, Norfolk. His death was attributed to the mythical entities known as Lantern Men due to its strange circumstances. I created all of the visuals myself, using free-to-use sound effects and my own dad's voice for Bexfield's grumbles.
This was my contribution for Saberspark's "Joshua and The Promised Land Reanimated" Project. This project was the collective work of over 350 international animators and the first animated project of Punch Cat Studios. All proceeds received from the project were donated to WildCat Ridge Sanctuary. Alongside making my own self directed contribution, I also made the quick scene to help cover for participants who did not hand in their parts in time. I also to this day help manage the Discord server which acts as a virtual studio for Punch Cat's upcoming projects.
This animation was made for a university brief. This was a short animation made to replicate the animation stings seen on E4. We were told to be as weird and surreal as we liked, as long as we featured E4 colours and the E4 logo.
This short animation was created for my GCSE Mocks. It features personal character designs that I've had for a long time. This piece was my first full animation on TVPaint. I painted wintery scenery from The Isle of Arran after visiting the isle personally.
This was created for another university brief. We were tasked to experiment with and utilise Adobe After Effects to create a promotional video. I teamed up with the US based band Intercisus. I worked with the band, directing them remotely and gathering footage for the final video. We worked together on making something that the band could use for social media posts and other promotional material. Co-ordinating a group of American teens that dream to be rock stars was a fun challenge that I didn't expect to come across during my studies!
